HEX M-FILTER® 

Deleted data recovery service for mobile handsets

HEX M-FILTER® was the first fully evidential deleted data recovery service provided in the UK. It continues to be used in nearly all major crime investigations to ensure all the evidence possible has been extracted from a mobile handset.

Using a 2 part process to perform a memory 'HEX DUMP' on a mobile handset followed by an automated software translation of the resulting data.  Using the FTS developed and validated HEX RAPTOR™ software to reliably and consistently translate raw hexadecimal (HEX) data into a readable format. The final deliverable being a working electronic data copy with a fully witnessed printed report in a court ready format.

This is an ISO17025:2005 compliant and fully validated laboratory method.

The M-FILTER® service currently supports over 400 models of mobile phone handset from manufactures including: NOKIA, SONY ERICSSON, MOTOROLA, SAMSUNG, LG & SIEMENS.

As well as recovering all types of live and deleted data from a standard mobile phone, HEX M-FILTER® can also be used to recover evidence from the following:

•    Phones with PIN locked SIM cards.
•    Phones with the security lock set.
•    Phones without a SIM card (Different SIM card causes evidence loss).
•    Damaged or broken phones (Smashed, water or fire damaged).
•    Recovers deleted evidence or intelligence.
•    Where SIM cards have been swapped.
•    Where all other recovery techniques fail.
