Analysts and Investigators make key recommendations from the interpretation and analysis of Communications Data to drive investigations e.g. live surveillance, CCTV opportunities.  A good understanding of Communications Data is needed to ensure that the SIO and the Court are fully informed. The increasing prevalence of Communications Data as vital evidence has highlighted a need for specialist education and training in this key discipline.

As there are no other national training programmes, FTS have developed a suite of unique training courses which offer practical investigative advice and guidance on the issues of telecommunications/internet data.

FTS have been running training courses on Telecoms related issues since April 2005 and have educated officers from a number of Law Enforcement agencies (from the UK and abroad) as well as from the majority of UK Police Forces.


FTS courses are practical “hands on” events which have been written by investigators, for investigators. The courses have consistently received excellent feedback from the delegates.
